Speaker Series: “The Holocaust: My Mother’s Survival”, Parkway UCC, Town & Country

October 13 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Vera Emmons’ mother spent her early childhood in a very close family with her sister, parents and grandparents in Berlin. Then Hitler came to power and everything changed. Mrs. Emmons will recount her mother’s story as she survived multiple concentration camps before being liberated at the end of the war. Our speaker is on the board of the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and also serves as a tour guide at the museum.

This program is one of two scheduled for  October, 2024 as part of Parkway UCC’s Speakers Series programming. The speaker will appear live in Parkway’s Heritage Room.
