Bethel United Church of Christ, 4900 NE Parvin Road, Kansas City, MO, will host Protecting Houses of Worship training on Monday, October 6, from 10 am to noon. This training is being offered free of charge by the FBI for all clergy and lay leaders.
This training will focus on how houses of worship can actively take steps to better safeguard their spaces from external threats. We’ll discuss law enforcement response to active threats, what individuals should do if they encounter an active threat, and discuss some of the civil rights and hate crime activities the FBI is seeing.
Special agents from the FBI, Assistant United States Attorneys, and local law enforcement will be conducting the training and answering your questions.
