It begins at Zion\, and ends up there.\nThe Walk is done through Church World Service. 25% of the Walk proceeds will benefit\ntwo local Food Pantries: Union Food Pantry; and Second Blessings.\nThe other proceeds will be distributed by CWS to communities near and far\,\nwherever the needs are greatest. Walkers are encouraged to support CWS by gifts of money\,\nand to bring gifts of non perishable food which will be given to a local group.\nAlso\, it is hoped Walkers will ask others to support them on the Walk. We hope many people\nwill join in this Walk\, so that the Walk will bless many\, many who are needing help ! Come join us.

SUMMARY:Speaker Series: “Bletchley Park; the Home of WW II's Codebreakers\,” by Parks Smith\, Parkway UCC\, Town & Country
DESCRIPTION:Bletchley Park\, in England\, was the top-secret home of the World War II “Codebreakers.” a term for the over 9\,000 men and women who intercepted and cracked German war messages. Winston Churchill referred to the Bletchley staff as “the geese who laid the golden eggs and never cackled”\nOur speaker\, an historian\, will explore Bletchley Park’s history from 1939 to 1946\, sharing stories of those who worked there and detailing how German messages were captured and decoded during the Battle of the Atlantic. This included breaking the Enigma and Lorenz codes and developing the Colossus computer.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is one of Parkway’s acclaimed Speakers Series program and all are welcome from the Missouri Mid-South Conference community.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis program is brought to our friends in the Missouri Mid-South Conference for free by Parkway UCC. We customarily have two programs each month on Sundays following worship. Our topics include a wide array of subjects\, some religious\, most not as much. DESCRIPTION:Prof. Maloney is the Director of the Animal Behavior Unit and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine at Washington University. Her research focuses on the impact of genetic and environmental liabilities for intellectual and developmental disorders (IDD). IDDs are differences that are present at birth and affect the trajectory of the individual’s physical\, intellectual\, and/or emotional development\, which includes autism spectrum disorders (ASD). DESCRIPTION:Prof. Kuo is associate professor of church histories and historical theology at Eden. Hailing from Taiwan\, he is a leader in the World Communion of Reformed Churches. To that end\, he moderates the WCRC’s General Council’s Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations Working Group.
